WHAT CAN I EXPECT TO LEARN ?  You don't need any previous experience or natural art talent to do this workshop. Each student is given lots of one on one tutoring. You will learn how to carve soft stone and wood in the traditional Italian way of sculpting.  Sculpture is an art form that really does take learning whether it is fashioni ng something from a piece of stone, working with various materials or creating molds for bronzes.  Apart from the artistic aspect there are a lot of technical issues to be worked through. This learning is best done by someo ne skilled in the art form in all its guises. At the end of the workshop you will leave with a completed sculpture and an unforgettable experience.  WHO IS NICOLE DURAND ?  Nicole Durand is a very successful sculptress with an international reputation, based in   Mortola Superiore, on the French Italian Riviera. She has been teaching the art of the old masters for over 30 years in Switzerland, France, Italy, Greece and USA. She has done many private  commissions including two for Prince Albert of Monaco. Nicole's sculptures are in some of the finest museums in Europe and USA and on display in the streets of Mentone.
